Absence of Due Process: A Concerning Trend in India – NGO’s raise questions at the United Nations

Geneva, 03/07/2024— CAP Liberté de Conscience has raised profound apprehension regarding the erosion of due process and democratic values in India at the ongoing 56th Human Rights Council Session at United Nations, Geneva. In a statement made at the floor, stated that the absence of due process within India’s legal system, coupled with a sharp shift toward Hindutva extremism since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) assumed power, poses a serious threat to religious minorities.
